Finesse and suppleness are the primary characteristics of this well-rounded wine. It is an excellent accompaniment to a meat dish, a cheese platter, or a chocolate dessert. 

The 2009 vintage was awarded three stars by the 2013 Hachette Guide.

  • Colour: A deep and intense ruby.
  • Aroma: A delicate and stimulating nose that reveals an uplifting floral aroma (peony) blended with notes of ripe fruit (cherry, wild strawberry, blueberry and blackcurrant.) On breathing , the wine expresses further freshness with the scent of the garrigue landscape and bay leaves.
  • Palate: Rich and supple tannins, a rewarding fruitiness, and a well-balanced finish marked by aromas of spice and pepper.
  • Serving suggestions: Serve in a carafe at 16° C (61° F).
  • Food pairing: Roast beef with mushrooms, lamb shank confit, cassoulet, quail stuffed with cherries, pigeon pastilla, robust cheeses (maroille, munster), chocolate desert, or as an aperitif with olives and cold cuts.
